I visited to explore Volcano National Park, and this place was a great starting point. The location was so quiet, nestled in the forest, and just a short drive to the park entrance. The room was spacious and the kitchen was well-equipped for preparing meals, which was perfect after a long day of hiking. Jon, the host, made sure everything was kept tidy, making my stay comfortable.

Jon, the host, promptly answered my questions via text, making communication easy. The communal kitchen was a highlight, equipped for meal prep, which saved us money and let us enjoy time together cooking. Our room had a spacious layout with a private deck, perfect for relaxing outside after a long day. The location is fantastic for exploring Volcano National Park, allowing easy access to trails. However, the breakfast provided was quite minimal, consisting mostly of prepackaged items. I found the cleaning fee annoying, especially since we had to do our own dishes after using the kitchen. There were also some cleanliness issues in common areas, like a lingering mildew smell. The driveway leading to the inn needed better upkeep, making it bumpy and hard to navigate. Despite these issues, we had a good stay overall.

the breakfast is absolutely pathetic, just prepackaged pastries and no milk for oatmeal. also, was charged an extra $60 for my children. a welcome gift or room upgrade for that price would have been just lovely, but no special treatment here. i almost gave a good review, but just couldn't with the overall lack of hospitality,

The location was convenient, with a large room and a kitchen perfect for cooking meals. Plus, the comfortable king-size bed provided a restful sleep after exploring nearby attractions!
The breakfast sad quality, lacking variety. it consisted mainly of packaged snacks, so don't expect a hearty meal! Additionally, the host's communication left much to be desired, which diminished the experience.

The location was truly a gem, with easy
access to Volcano National Park, making our mornings filled with adventure. The host, Jon, ensured a clean environment, and we appreciated the well-equipped kitchen for cooking our meals. However, we experienced minor confusion regarding shared facilities, which could use clearer signage.

Utilize the communal kitchen for cooking, as it offers fresh fruits, providing a nice alternative to the limited pre-packaged breakfast options.

The location was perfect for exploring the national park, and we had plenty of room for the whole family. It was especially nice to use the communal kitchen, which allowed us to gather and cook together after long days of hiking with dad.
My children wished there were more activities or amenities for families.

We had a fantastic time staying here with friends! The location is perfect for exploring the national park, especially with attractions like Kilauea and Halema'uma'u Crater nearby. The beds were really comfortable, and we loved having a communal kitchen to cook our meals since there aren't many dining options around. Definitely pick up groceries before you arrive!
However, we did run into some issues with cleanliness. The common area had a strong mildew odor, which made it a bit uncomfortable during our stay.

Ideal for nature lovers
The shared kitchen area was a real gem! We made some meals there after a long day of hiking, and it felt like home. The whole vibe was just so chill, perfect for unwinding after the trails.
It wasn’t exactly budget-friendly though.
